Dental Fee Schedule and Medical Benchmarks


VHA seeks to obtain necessary data via Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes to support VA’s standardization of local reimbursement rates for VAMCs to use in determination of current market dental procedure payment and reimbursement rates. This task is restricted to obtaining data and does not include data analysis or recommendation. VHA seeks the development a propriety Dental VA Fee Schedule (DVAFS) that will be shared with third party administrators (TPAs) and dental providers. VHA seeks to obtain necessary data via allowed and charged medical benchmarks to support the VA’s sustainment of the proprietary medical VA fee schedule (MVAFS) which is used to standardize local reimbursement rates. This task is restricted to obtaining data and does not include data analysis or recommendation. 


As part of our market research effort, we are seeking input from industry to identify the ability of the commercial market to fulfill potential requirements.
